Job Description:
EcoFrost is expanding its HVAC division and we need an experienced air conditioning and ventilation engineer to handle commercial installations and servicing across Scotland and the wider UK. You’ll work on split systems, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, and full commercial HVAC fit-outs for restaurants, hotels, offices, and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Install and commission split, multi-split & VRF systems
- Service and maintain air handling units and FCUs
- Carry out system health checks and gas top-ups
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ensure all work meets building regulations and standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with VRF/VRV systems from manufacturers such as Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Samsung, or LG
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) for site access
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IET BS 7671) — useful for controls and electrical installation work
- IPAF or PASMA licence for working at height on rooftop and plant room installations
- Experience reading and working from mechanical and electrical (M&E) drawings and CAD schematics
- Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) and smart controls integration
- REFCOM Elite or equivalent company-level F-Gas registration awareness
- Asbestos awareness certificate (Cat A) — commonly required on older commercial buildings
- Experience with ventilation systems including MVHR, extract fans, and ductwork installations
- Willingness to travel and stay away overnight when required for larger project fit-outs
